LED High Bay Fixtures

High Bay LED Light Fixtures

High bay LED light fixtures are designed for spaces with high ceilings, typically 20 feet or higher, such as warehouses, manufacturing plants, gymnasiums, and indoor sports arenas. They replace traditional metal halide and fluorescent high bay lighting, delivering better light output while using significantly less energy. They also provide instant illumination and require less maintenance. If your existing fixtures are still in good condition, high bay LED lamps may offer a more cost-effective retrofit option.

We offer a variety of commercial and industrial LED high bay fixtures, both UFO high bay and linear high bay fixtures. Our high bay LED light fixtures are robust and serve a variety of needs, including LED warehouse lighting, LED gymnasium lighting, industrial light fixtures, manufacturing, school lighting,  indoor sports courts and arenas, and other high bay lighting applications. Choose from round high bay lights (UFO style) or linear high bay lights which by design look more like traditional T5 fluorescent fixtures. At OEO Energy Solutions, we make it easy for you to find the right lighting fixture for your facility. If you’re ready to upgrade from traditional lighting to LED technology, browse our selection of linear and UFO high bay light solutions to find the perfect indoor lighting for your space.

UFO vs. Linear LED High Bay Lights

UFO high bay lights are round, compact fixtures that deliver concentrated, powerful illumination straight down, ideal for warehouse lighting with high ceilings and open floor plans.

Linear high bay lights are long, rectangular fixtures that spread light evenly across aisles, workstations, and gyms, and they're an easy swap for T5 fluorescent and other linear fixtures.

How to Choose an LED Industrial High Bay Light

Start with mounting height, which determines the wattage and lumens you need. Then plan fixture spacing and beam angle for even coverage, and choose a color temperature: 5000K is standard for warehouses, while 4000K suits gyms and retail. Wattage-selectable and color-selectable models let you fine-tune a single fixture on site.

Energy-Efficient Commercial High Bay LED Lights

Replacing a 400W metal halide fixture with a 150W LED high bay can reduce lighting energy consumption by more than 60%, depending on the application. LED fixtures also last longer, reducing the need for frequent replacements and costly maintenance in hard-to-reach areas. Many DLC-qualified fixtures may also be eligible for utility rebates, helping offset the upfront investment.

High Bay LED Light FAQs

What wattage high bay LED light do I need?

It depends mainly on mounting height. As a general guide, 100W–150W LED high bay lights work for ceilings around 15–25 feet, while 200W–240W fixtures suit ceilings of 25–35 feet or more. A 150W LED high bay typically replaces a 400W metal halide fixture.

What's the difference between high bay and low bay lights?

High bay lights are designed for ceilings 20 feet and higher and use narrower beam angles to push light down to the floor. Low bay lights are for ceilings under 20 feet and use wider beams to spread light across a smaller area.

How far apart should high bay lights be spaced?

A common rule of thumb is to space high bay fixtures about as far apart as their mounting height, so fixtures mounted at 25 feet sit roughly 25 feet apart. Lumen output, beam angle, and required light levels also affect fixture spacing, which is why OEO offers free lighting layouts.

Can LED high bay lights use motion sensors?

Yes. Many LED high bays support motion sensors that dim or switch off fixtures when an area is empty, adding extra savings in warehouses with low-traffic aisles.
